Digital and Electronic Device Design Capsule TV Remote for OTT Platforms by Shivang Vaishnav The objective with Capsule was to reimagine the TV remote focused on streaming. The task was to make the remote as simple as possible by stripping down the cognitive burdens that come with the current layouts. It was redesigned for the buttons to be divided into sets according to their usage. While voice command is included in Capsule, typing on the on-screen keyboard still remains the preferred input method for OTT on TV. When an On-Screen keyboard appears, the Capsule remote can be held horizontally and the configuration of the buttons will change to allow the user to type with two cursors.
