Vehicle, Mobility and Transportation Design link urban logistics by Ayelet Fishman Link is a synchronized urban logistics system that makes use of existing public transportation infrastructure. The system enables seamless and sustainable distribution of cargo in the city. It is a network that connects between consolidation centers, neighborhood storage spaces and local businesses using a fleet of robotic, electric vehicles. By following buses and trams the vehicles navigate through the city without interfering traffic. The Link system shortens distribution distances, thereby reducing the need for trucks and opening delivery alternatives for the last half mile.
