Parametric Pendant Pendant light

Colin Westeinde

Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Parametric Pendant Pendant light by Colin Westeinde The Parametric Pendant was created as an exploration of hand and machine processes. It combines strong aspects of both approaches which often have opposing characteristics in to an efficient, but infinity variable system of making. Using a parametric grasshopper script cut plans for for a copper shell are quickly drawn as unique iterations of a general structure and then have a smoke grey glass bubble blown in to them. In the heat of the moment the copper and glass interact in new ways each time always producing surprising results.
